Product Description

Starbond Super Fast Thin is a professional-grade cyanoacrylate glue engineered for makers, woodworkers, and hobby builders who need a fast CA glue that still delivers precise, controlled bonding. With an ultra-low viscosity of 2–5 cPs — the consistency of water — this thin CA glue flows effortlessly into micro-fractures, end-grain pores, and tight joints via capillary action, then locks solid in 3–5 seconds without an accelerator.

As a complete CA adhesive system, Starbond goes further than a standard bottle of glue. Every Pro Kit ships with precision microtips, extra nozzles, a clog-prevention pin cap, and a QR-linked Masterclass Library, giving you the tools and technique to get professional results the first time, every time.

The Best CA Adhesive for Woodturning, Joinery & Wood Crack Repair

Woodworkers and turners choose a fast CA glue over traditional wood glue for one reason: speed without sacrifice. Starbond Super Fast Thin is the CA glue for wood that wicks instantly into long-grain and end-grain fibers, stabilizing micro-cracks and reinforcing tight-fitting joinery — in seconds, no clamps required.

As the go-to CA glue for woodturning, this cyanoacrylate glue handles everything from stabilizing punky blanks on the lathe to locking down veneer edges and reinforcing pen blanks before tool contact. The ultra-thin CA adhesive formula reaches depths no brush-on glue can match.

Common woodworking applications:

  • • Stabilizing punky wood and soft spots before turning
  • • Reinforcing end-grain glue joints before sanding
  • • Wicking into lifted veneer edges for clean reattachment
  • • Pen-turning blank reinforcement before tool contact
  • • Stopping micro-fractures from spreading during finishing

Pro tip: Apply this CA adhesive without accelerator when you need maximum wicking depth. Add Starbond Aerosol Accelerator when you need instant freeze-set at a specific penetration point.

Super products

I have been using Starbond CA for a while. Your products are superior to other brands. I have used the thick, medium, and thin Starbond. All of them have uses in my wood carving.
One and a half years ago I had a stoke. I no longer have use of my right arm (my dominant arm). In order to power carve I must use only my left arm. To compensate I make many jigs to help me hold and carve my projects. Most use Starbond products to glue some of the pieces together. Recently I’ve ordered the Super Fast Thin what a great product. I don’t need to use clamps,
just hold the pieces together for a few seconds. It makes my job easier
I also like the fact that he 2 oz glue comes with extra nozzles and some micro nozzles!

Starbond is Our Friend

I may have overstated that but it would be accurate to say that there are few wood work applications done in our shop that don’t in some way use a Starbond product. Thin, Medium, Thick, Clear, Brown or Black. It’s right at our fingertips thru the project.
Thank you for a great product

Penetrates

I use the super fast thin for stabilizing the pith area on elk antlers. I have tried other CA glues the past and they are all too thick to penetrate in and solidify the center. It also works great on soft woods.

Several options

I’m enjoying using several of the different types of CA glue you provide
Especially the odor free but my go to for
my woodworking is the Thin Fast Set
I will be trying the Flexible soon on fishing rod building
Also many thanks for shipping to Alaska

Starbond CA glues are my choice when building rc planes. I use thin, medium, and thick for my balsa wood rc plane kit builds. These are quality glues and the great thing is the applicators. The 2oz glues come with two applicator tips/caps , a set of fine tip applicators, a small plastic pin device for unclogging the the tip (if needed) and a solid screw on cap so you can keep the glue fresh. Starbond is the only CA company that puts a lot of thought into the applicators and the bottle itself that helps minimize clogging, glue build up, and gunky caps. I highly recommend. Check out my RC Plane Tech youtube channel where I’m currently using Starbond glues to build an rc plane.

The thin works great to seal small cracks and to stabilize punky wood spots and amazing inlays. Truly works amazing on my wood turnings.

This product flowed into a very narrow opening leaving no glue line. The factory installed insert was loose, it is now solid. Nothing to clean up. AMAZING!

Fast acting!! Great for my rings.

Great stuff for sealing wood that is prone to cracking. I dribble it on the outside of turned wood bowls, leaving the inside unsealed so the moisture can be released. After several weeks, I seal the inside with CA. First coat is the thin CA which penetrates the wood fibers. Second coat is medium Starbond to produce a shiny sealed finish. Photo is of a macadamia nut bowl sealed with Starbond. This wood is notorious for cracking. So far no problems with this piece.

Starbond thin or EM02 is my go to superglue!!! I use a lot of it on finishing pens and repairing cracks in bowls and vases.

I've been using star bond glue for several years in particular I use the thin for several applications. for pin holes in woodturning I fill it with thin first then followed up with medium, although I have no proof in the pudding it only makes sense to me that the thin penetrates into the hole while the medium fills the surface so I can send it off smoothly. then also makes an excellent finish on small turned projects as an example bottle stoppers I apply several coats of thin to get the sheen that I want.

I use a lot of wood with natural voids when making serving boards and table tops. I often fill these voids with crushed stone to provide accent colors. I use Starbond thin CA glue exclusively. It wicks into the stone perfectly and hardens almost instantly with accelerator. This means much faster production. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Also, Starbond ships very promptly. I'm impressed with their service.

I love my Starbond! Use it religiously for things most people wouldn't even think of such as CNC project hold down instead of using clamps that just get in the way. There is a product for every purpose and you shouldn't confuse one for the other. Do your research and find the product you need for the task at hand. If you have questions, these guys have a phenomenal support team to answer all your questions very promptly!

As a sign carver, I have found Starbond to be everything it is advertised to be. The medium and thick are both great for filling voids while the thin works on bonding and tiny cracks in the wood surface.

Saw woodturners filling gap/cracks with CA Glue on YouTube. I had never thought to use it that way. Attached are photos of my two latest projects. Used Starbond Thin on both and I am very satisfied with the results. I will recommend to others and reorder as needed.

This is the best stuff out there and lasts even longer than they promise.

Have used Em02 for many years. Always works extremely well. I use my starbond mainly to mend petrified wood that I process. When the specimens are polished the starbond also polishes.
