Mixing Two Different CA Glues: Is It Effective?

Mixing Two Different CA Glues: Is It Effective?

1 min reading time

It is generally not recommended to mix different types of CA glue because they may have different chemical composition. Mixing different viscosities of CA glue can therefore result in unpredictable results because of the different curing times and this could also compromise the strength of the bond.

To ensure best results, it's important to carefully read the product description to understand the recommended use for each type of CA glue, so you can use them according to their intended purpose. You'll be pleased to know that we have five different viscosities to suit most of your CA glue applications.

  1. Superfast thin (2 cPs) - Water-like consistency
  2. Heavy thin (40 cPs) - Olive oil consistency
  3. Medium (150 cPs) - Motor oil consistency
  4. Medium Thick (500/600 cPs) - Syrup-like consistency
  5. Thick (2000 cPs) - Honey-like consistency

To make it easier for you, we bundled up the most commonly used clear CA glues, and colored CA glues. For additional color variations, you can actually mix CA glue with mica powder to achieve your desired color result.
