"The Layering Method" to Solve Glue Drying & Bubbling Issues

1 min reading time

Have you ever had issues with CA glue taking longer to cure than advertised? Have you ever used an accelerator only to have it only work on the top surface of the glue? Do you ever get bubbles when you fill a void? Well we have a great tip for you: the Layering Method!

The idea is to apply the glue in a thin layer, then apply accelerator to instantly dry the glue. Accelerator doesn't penetrate into the glue, so the thinner the layer, the better. Too much accelerator can also cause issues, so a light touch of both is recommended. You can then repeat the process, alternating between glue and accelerator until the crack or void is filled. Once the glue is fully cured, you can sand down any excess glue!

This method lets you fill larger voids, and will ensure that there are no bubbles in your fills. We recommend everyone to try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed!
